2015 Ferrari California T Review

Some people don't like the Ferrari California because it is a front-engined, V8-powered convertible, instead of the usual mid-engined setup, with a V12. But the California does have some strong points, including its very recognizable exterior, handsome interior, and good performance. The 4.3 liter V8 produces 490 hp and 372 lb-feet of torque, which makes the California do 60 mph in under 4.0 seconds. That's fast, but not as fast as a Jaguar F-Type, which is $100,000 less and has a much better sounding engine (if you haven't heard it, watch this video). But compared to the $330,000 F12berlinetta, it's a "bargain." The interior and exterior are both very nice to look at, and even those Ferrari enthusiasts who think the California isn't a true Ferrari have to admit that the exterior is pretty good-looking. But why buy this $198,000 Ferrari when you can buy a $98,000 Jaguar that performs better, sounds better, and has the same amount of power?
