2014 Dodge Charger SRT8 Review

As depicted on a ridiculously long airfield in Fast&Furious 6, the Dodge Charger SRT8 is capable of almost anything. For example, it can keep up with a cargo plane and has enough power to keep it in pace. But where does all of this speed come from? The most simple answer is its massive 6.4 liter HEMI V8 that you'd find in other SRT-brand cars such as the Challenger SRT8, the Grand Cherokee SRT8, or the 300C HEMI. In this case, the 392-cu. in. engine produces 470 hp and 470 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to this immense amount of power, the Charger SRT8 does 0-60 in about 4.4-4.6 seconds, so you'll outrun most police (except for the patrol cars based on this very car). Top speed is limited to 175 mph, which is definitely enough. The interior is controlled by the same 8.4-in. navigation screen you'll find in the Dodge Dart, the Chrysler 300, and even the Maserati Quattroporte (long story). It is relatively upscale inside, with good-quality perforated leather and a substantial amount of amenities, though it's no Maybach. I can only find a couple competitors for this car, and the Chevrolet SS and the Ford Taurus SHO are definitely on that list.
